3. Understand implicit bias and explore their own subconscious or internal biases and opinions.
4. Address the significance of suicide prevention.
5. Learn about the signs of domestic violence and the basics of treatment and reporting, as required by the Keentucky Board of Nursing
6. Define the 2 main types of diabetes and the preferred approach used to treat each of the identified disease processes.  
7. Differentiate between hospice and palliative care. 
8. Define important stages of the dying process.
9. Discuss basic respiratory function, the types and mechanism of action of ventilators, and indications for use.
