1. Explain types of heart disease, risk factors, and the impact of diet and nutrition on cardiovascular health. 
2. Discuss heart-healthy eating principles, including macronutrient intake, essential vitamins and minerals, fiber, and the importance of limiting saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt (sodium), processed foods, and added sugars. 
3. Describe how to educate patients on heart-healthy dietary choices, empowering them to adopt lifestyle changes that reduce the risk of cardiovascular events.
